What is coaching?

Coaching is designed to provide a safe space, intentional time, and support to raise your consciousness, with the ultimate goal of improving an area of your work or life that is a priority for you. You gain clarity about what you want to achieve, identify the obstacles, and create a strategy to get there.

It is an alliance where the coach serves as a partner who helps you self discover. Coaching discussions are strictly confidential in accordance to the ICF code of ethics.

Coaching is forward focused, whereas therapy focuses more heavily on the past. While we may look at the past briefly, it will be in an effort to move forward.

Coaching is also different from mentoring or consulting, as the coach will not give advice or share their own experience, but instead facilitate the process for you to find your own wisdom and insights.

The ICF Global Coaching Client Study shows that coaching clients noted greater self-confidence, enhanced relationships, more effective communications skills, better work-and-life balance and an improvement in wellness. Nearly 70 percent of individuals indicated they had at least made back their initial investment. The median suggests that a client who achieved financial benefit from coaching can typically expect a ROI of more than three times the amount spent.
